This page explains how to delete your SearchMyBus account and all personal data associated with it. This policy applies to the SearchMyBus mobile app (available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store) and web services operated by SearchMyBus Technologies Inc. You may request account deletion directly from inside the mobile app or use the secure request form on this page.
Delete from within the app
If you have the SearchMyBus app installed on your smartphone, you can trigger account deletion directly through your profile settings:

Open the SearchMyBus app on your Android or iOS device.

Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.

Tap on Edit Profile.

Scroll to the bottom and click on the Delete Account button.
Request deletion from this page
Enter the registered email address your SearchMyBus account is created under. Our system will check your account, verify validation criteria (such as no active or upcoming trips), and execute your account deletion immediately.
Request deletion by email
You can also submit an account deletion request directly to our privacy operations team. Send an email to support@searchmybus.in from the email address registered to your SearchMyBus account with the subject:
Please include your registered full name and mobile number so we can verify account ownership. Our team will verify and complete your deletion within 24 to 48 business hours.
What is deleted, and what may be retained
When your account is deleted, we remove your personal information in accordance with our data safety obligations:

| Trip History & Bookings (Search history, past trip records, travel progress) | Permanently purged and unlinked from user identifiers. |
| Authentication Credentials (Firebase Auth user token, session keys) | Revoked and deleted immediately. |
| Statutory Invoices & Tax Records (Completed payment GST invoices) | Retained in anonymized format solely where required by applicable Indian taxation (GST) and accounting laws. |
